Who We Are

A Centre of Excellence in
Indian Philosophy

Sri Sitaram Swadhyaya Samsthanam is envisioned as a premier centre dedicated to the research, preservation, and dissemination of Indian philosophy and spiritual traditions — rigorous in scholarship, authentic in transmission, and accessible to all sections of society.

The divine name is the simplest and most effective spiritual practice for the modern age — it purifies the heart and restores harmony in individual and social life.

— Sri Sitaramdas Omkarnath

Inspired by the teachings of Sri Sitaramdas Omkarnath, the Samsthanam places special emphasis on the systematic study of Abhinava Pranavavada — situating it within the broader framework of Indian Knowledge Systems.

Our Pillars

The Fivefold
Sacred Mission

Five pillars of our work, each bearing a sacred charge — rooted in tradition, oriented toward the living present.

IResearch & Scholarship

Research & Scholarship

Advanced study across Vedanta, Nyaya, Mimamsa, Yoga, Tantra, and Bhakti — anchored in a dedicated wing for Abhinava Pranavavada. Critical editions, commentaries, and research monographs of lasting value are produced here, contributing to a living corpus of Indian philosophical thought that serves scholars and seekers alike.

IIPreservation & Digitization

Preservation & Digitization

Digitising rare manuscripts and teachings of Sri Omkarnath Dev. Open-access archives for researchers worldwide — safeguarding Pranava-centred wisdom so it breathes across generations yet unborn. Every folio reclaimed is a lifeline cast to the future of Indian philosophical heritage.

IIIEducation & Teaching

Education & Teaching

Certificate, diploma, and advanced study programmes in both gurukula-inspired and modern frameworks, offered in multiple languages. Teachers are trained in authentic interpretative methodologies — ensuring the tradition is transmitted with scholarly rigour, devotional sincerity, and enduring care.

IVPublic Outreach

Public Outreach

Lectures, workshops, digital content, and study circles making complex philosophy accessible to all. Youth engagement through chanting, meditation, and scriptural study bridges the ancient and the present — ensuring the tradition remains a living presence in society rather than a relic of the past.

VIKS in Society

IKS in Society

Applying Indian epistemology and ethics to education policy, leadership, and governance — bridging the ancient and the urgent present with precision and scholarly rigour. Indian Knowledge Systems are not relics; they are living frameworks for public life, offering tested wisdom to contemporary challenges.

The Inspiration

Sri Sitaramdas
Omkarnath

One of the most revered Hindu saints of twentieth-century India, Sri Sitaramdas Omkarnath (1892–1982) was born in the Hooghly district of Bengal and displayed spiritual inclinations from an early age.

He emphasised the power of nāma-japa as the simplest and most effective practice for the modern age, cutting across all sectarian boundaries and touching countless lives.

Our Vision

One vision,
five facets.

The Samsthanam fosters a renaissance of dharmic wisdom — each facet a pillar of the living tradition we are building together.

01 / 05
Indian Knowledge Systems

Living Traditions

Revitalising IKS as dynamic traditions rather than static artefacts — treating philosophy as an integrated knowledge tradition encompassing metaphysics, ethics, linguistics, aesthetics, and psychology.

02 / 05
Bridging Worlds

Classical & Contemporary

Bridging classical wisdom and contemporary thought, making ancient insights relevant to modern challenges in ethics, education, psychology, governance, and social harmony.

03 / 05
Philosophical Framework

Abhinava Pranavavada

Promoting the transformative power of Pranava (Om) and the divine name — centring devotion (bhakti), knowledge (jñāna), and disciplined practice (sādhana) in one integrative framework.

04 / 05
Accessibility & Outreach

Universal Pathways

Creating accessible pathways for scholars, students, seekers, and the general public to engage with Sanskrit texts and devotional literature — without barriers of language or background.

05 / 05
Interdisciplinary Dialogue

Interdisciplinary Inquiry

Encouraging dialogue between Indian philosophy and global traditions, modern science, and applied fields — connecting tarka, anubhava, and śruti-pramāṇa with contemporary epistemology and ethics.
